Community Generosity!

Each week, OSF Saint Anthony is blessed to receive donations from many generous individuals, volunteer groups and organizations.  Currently, the Foundation Council is appealing for help for our OSF Center for Cancer Care. 

Right now, the Center for Cancer Care at OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center is working to replace the aging chairs that patients use while they receive life-giving infusions - tedious treatments often lasting as long as eight hours. New recliners offer greater patient mobility and comfort, with features not available when the current chairs were purchased nearly 15 years ago. They've served us well, but after an estimated 50,000 hours of use,  it's time.

"After I'm gone, I want you to buy another one of those chairs for Saint Anthony's."  That's what one elderly cancer patient told his wife after using the one new chair already purchased by the department. Twelve others need replacing.

  Each chair costs over $2,000. So your generosity will make a huge impact as we move toward our $25,000 goal. Of course, even the most modest gift is welcomed, needed, and deeply appreciated! Tax-deductible, too.

In addition to monetary gifts, we receive many donations directly for the comfort of our patients, such as baby blankets and hats, adult and child books/magazines, toys, handmade items, movies, music...the list goes on.
